end-stage renal failure

In 2019, he felt unwell and was tested and diagnosed positive for anti-GBM antibodies.

He had continued to compete despite his discomfort.

He continued to train, but the nausea attacked him on a daily basis and He could not do as much as he wanted. When he hid his illness and competed in competitions, the "swelling" that just wouldn't go away, and the words "You doesn't know how to lose weight" and "You doesn't have the guts" that he heard. He swallowed his frustration and thought to  "I really could have done more.”

In 2021, he was in end-stage renal failure. To this day, dialysis three times a week for five hours per session is essential to keep him alive.

In place of the non-functioning kidneys, blood is connected through blood vessels to an artificial kidney for filtration. During dialysis at the clinic, the only thing that can be moved is the right hand. During the time when nothing can be done, his patient feels frustrated.

On the days when he is not on dialysis, he continues to work out while fighting swelling, water restriction, and nausea that comes over him.

From Taichi to you

Thank you for visiting our web site.

I first encountered bodybuilding when I was in high school, and for the past 20 years, I have devoted all of myself to bodybuilding. But in the middle of my dream to compete in the "Mr. Olympia," which is considered the pinnacle of bodybuilders, I was diagnosed with end-stage renal failure.

It is said that 40 is the most active age for bodybuilding.
Now is a time when I am about to peak.

In 2019, I lost my kidney function due to anti-GBM antibodies.

I continued bodybuilding despite this condition, but last year I was forced to undergo dialysis.

I am still training. Although my body is rapidly deteriorating due to protein restriction, I could not give up on my goal of becoming a top bodybuilder, which has been a dream of mine since I was in high school.

More than wanting to "save my life," I also wanted to undergo a kidney transplant, which is the only treatment available, because I believe that I can still grow and compete.

I would also like to build my body again and continue to aim to become "Mr. Olympia" and stand at the top of the world.

Thank you for supporting my dream.

I will do my best to return to competition as soon as possible, get in shape, and show you my best so that I can live up to the many wishes you have entrusted to me.
