What we want to do through our fundraising
Bodybuilder Taichi Shimizu, who has kidney failure, wants to "challenge the top of the world" and wants to be treated by kidney transplant surgery, which is the only fundamental treatment.
When undergoing kidney transplantation in Japan, damage to muscles is inevitable due to the way the incision is made. To the bodybuilders, this would be fatal. In order to return to bodybuilding competitions, the position and length of the incision must be devised to minimize the muscle cut caused by the surgery.
Therefore, we would like to undergo transplant surgery in Iran, which is an advanced country in organ transplant surgery with clinical cases of transplant surgery are 10 times more than in Japan.
And where they can specify the incision method and shorten the surgery time so that it will not interfere with the return to bodybuilding competition, and the postoperative creatinine values tend to be better.
Currently, two donors have offered to donate their kidney: his mother and a relative.
He plans to travel with his mother or relative to receive a living organ transplant.
In order to return to competition, he needs to undergo surgery and resume training as soon as possible. In addition, although Iran has friendly relations with Japan, due to measures to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 and the rapidly changing international situation, we do not know when he may not be able to travel to Iran.
For this reason, we hope him to travel as soon as possible.
Please help Taichi Shimizu to return to competition as soon as possible and realize his dream of challenging the top of the world.
